Hi, I'm Mickey
A fellow pencil-lover, confidence-builder, and joyful realist
A full-time artist, art educator, and creative encourager.
I didn’t grow up with a pencil in my hand. In fact, I only started my art journey much later in life. But once I did, everything changed.
Art gave me a new way to see the world — and myself. It taught me patience, presence, and the quiet confidence that comes from showing up and creating something beautiful, one layer at a time.
Now, I’m here to help you experience that too.
I’m deeply passionate about teaching and absolutely love inspiring others to become a fuller, braver version of themselves through art.

Join me live each week for a creative pause — four times a month, straight from my studio to yours. Bring your pencils, your favorite drink, and your curiosity. Together, we’ll draw, learn, and grow. (Note: in October, we’ll meet three times as I’ll be celebrating my anniversary!)

REFUND POLICY
There is a minimum commitment of 1 month for the Luma Membership, while annual members commit to 1 year. Once initial terms have been met, you can cancel with 30 days notice.
LOCATION
I have students from all over the world so this is not a problem at all.
All live steams are recorded to accommodate for those that are in different time zones.
MATERIALS USED
You will need the basic drawing materials, including a set of colored pencils and surface of your choice.
A list of recommended materials (that I used) will be provided for each individual tutorial as a PDF.
IS THIS SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS
Yes, 100%! Whether you’re brand new to colored pencils or just need a refresher, you’re in the right place.
Your membership includes my beginner course, “The Starting Point,” created specifically
to help you build strong skills and confident habits from the start.
WHAT DO I GET IN THE MONTHLY TUTORIALS?
Each monthly tutorial includes a full step-by-step video, a printable line drawing, and a detailed materials list — everything you need to dive in with confidence.
You’ll also receive the source credit for the reference photo, so you can honor the original photographer if you choose to share your work.
CAN I ACCESS PAST TUTORIALS?
Absolutely! Your membership includes access to the full tutorial library.
Use the built-in search function to explore previous topics or revisit your favorite lessons anytime — it’s all at your fingertips.
AM I ALLOWED TO SELL THE ART I CREATE FROM THE LUMA MEMBERSHIP?
Unless stated otherwise, you will be allowed to sell your work.
I obtain specific permission from the photographers to use their images. Some might be from royalty free sites.
You may share on social media, or creates prints and even sell the original.
I ask to please credit myself and the photographer
WHAT DOES THE LUMA MEMBERSHIP COST?
There are 4 payment options available: Monthly for $33 every month or Annually for $330 (where you get 2 months FREE).
There are also the VIP options where VIP Monthly is $43 every month or VIP Annually for $430 (where you get 2 months FREE).
